CAN I ADD ALUMAWOOD TO MY EXISTING WOOD PATIO?
YES! You just add it on!
Any old piece of your wood patio can be replaced with Alumawood no problem! … Just add it on!
So what’s an ADD- ON?
–Many people have an old patio that they still love but may need a quick touch-up or they may want to increase the amount of shade they’re getting.
-If you have an old lattice patio and the lattice is rotting away, why not replace them with Alumawood lattice tubes! Its an easy fix and the wood grain of the Alumawood matches the old wood look perfectly.
Or say you have an old patio with lattice and you think that there is too much light still getting through the lattice. It could be possible that you don’t want to pay for tearing down the lattice and replacing them with panels. A cheaper fix could be to add more lattice to your roof and fill in the spaces between each lattice tube with more lattice! Your lattice roof can almost function as a whole cover and eliminate any sun to come through. There could be some leaking with rain but that could be minimalized with some slight caulking.
Our lattice comes in various sizes to match your pre-existing patio : the sizes are : 1 ½ x 1 ½ , 2×2, and 2×3.
Also perhaps you have an old stone wall or brick wall in the backyard. You can turn that old wall into a makeshift freestanding patio/pergula and have that old school flare. I saw a job in upland once where the customer had a old stone wall – it looked like something out of the battle of the Alamo- but after the customer added a few alumawood posts, and some lattice tubes on top, this old wall was looking pretty cool. The photos are below. It just gives you an idea of what you can do with alumawood products if you use your mind and get a little creative.
The same customer also made an arbor out of an old brick wall he potted plants along. It also came out great with lattice tubes to complete the arbor look. The photos are posted below:
Thanks and have fun adding on!
