Alumawood 2×6 inch fascia is used for many parts of the Solid Newport and Laguna Lattice construction. One thing to note is that the 2×6 piece is actually 2″x6 1/2″.
The Solid Newport design uses the 2×6 for the post side plates, side wraps on the top, front fascia, and 1′ rafter tails.
The Laguna Lattice design uses the 2×6 for the post side plates, and the rafters that run perpendicular from the house or building.
The 2×6 pieces also come on several gauge thickness (0.018″, 0.024″, 0.032″, and 0.040″)
Note: 0.040 Thickness can be used for double 2×6 header beam look.
